The Lawyer’s two-day Global Collaboration Summit focused on how firms are working to expand cross-border relationships, gathering managing partners from firms in Asia, Europe, the US and the UK to talk about challenges and best practice concerning collaboration, as well as thought leadership.
The conference featured Allen & Overy’s (A&O) global markets board chair Cathy Bell-Walker and Dentons’ global chair Joe Andrew as the keynote speakers for the event.
Views from Asia were provided by top lawyers including Fosun Group general counsel Xu Yao, Jun He partner Warren Hua and King & Wood Mallesons co-CEO Zhang Yi.
Africa was also represented, with speakers including Sonal Sejpal, a director from Kenyan firm Anjarwalla & Khanna.
General counsel who lined up to offer their views on how firms should address clients’ international needs include Carillion’s Richard Tapp and Wolseley’s Richard Shoylekov.
