Lissack was named in The Lawyer Hot 100 2010, with his citation noting his “dogged determination” and work such as defending the first case of corporate manslaughter and acting for Dorsey & Whitney partner Andrew Rimington against insider dealing charges.

His broad practice encompasses banking and financial services, global corporate investigations, regulation and enforcement including financial crime and health and safety, and civil liberties and human rights including inquests and public inquiries.

Lissack is currently involved on a range of financial cases, particularly concerning Libor and foreign exchange rigging. He is also working alongside Blackstone Chambers’ Lord Pannick QC on a dispute between Dechert and mining giant ENRC, recently successfully defending ENRC against an appeal brought by Dechert to have the case heard in public.

Deputy head of Fountain Court Bankim Thanki QC said he had “greatly enjoyed working with Richard on cases of real substance.”

In the past two years Fountain Court has recruited two other barristers: junior Ben Lynch from Devereux Chambers in October last year, and Ben Valentin QC from South Square two years ago.
