SullCrom selects Pollack as new City managing parter

Sullivan & Cromwell has appointed a new managing partner for its London office.

Corporate partner Richard Pollack will take over from Richard Morrissey at the start of July, with Morrissey due to return to the firm’s Washington DC base. Morrissey has been in charge of London since 2011, having been both European M&A head and co-head of private equity.

His successor Pollack is also co-head of private equity, although he will continue with his duties despite the additional job title.

The appointment sees Pollack join up with administrative partner Craig Jones in London – a role he also took on in 2011 when Sullivan last overhauled its City management.

Pollack has been with the firm for nearly three decades and has been based in New York and Paris.

He was previously co-head of the firm’s general practice group between 2006 and 2012.
