Travers Smith’s average profit per equity partner (PEP) has hit the £1m mark for the first time.
The firm saw PEP increase 8 per cent from £935,000 to £1.02m, while revenue jumped 13 per cent from £106m to £120m.
In 2014/15, Travers Smith saw its turnover surpass the £100m barrier, with the firm having grown for the past seven consecutive years.
Since 2009/10, Travers Smith has seen revenue increase by almost 40 per cent from £72m, while PEP has jumped by the same percentage from £705,000.
This year, Travers Smith announced a larger than usual promotions round making up six lawyers to its partnership.
It also recently upped its associate pay, with newly-qualifed lawyers now entitled to the higher salary of £71,500.
Major mandates won by the firm over 2015/16 include the dual-track process and sale of Center Parcs, as well as several bids for South African retailer Steinhoff. These include the bid for French-based Darty and Home Retail Group.
On the litigation side, Travers secured victory for Icelandic lawyer Johannes Jóhannsson against a £2.2bn claim brought by businessman Vincent Tchenguiz in the High Court.
