Clio, the cloud-based legal practice management software, has announced that the number of UK firms using its software has doubled in under a year, after adding almost 200 firms.

Clio caters for over 16,000 firms in 67 countries.

To facilitate this growth, Clio’s European office, based in Dublin, is looking to double its team over the coming months.

“Having a team on the ground in Europe has allowed us to accelerate our growth and build key relationships that would not be possible otherwise — like those with universities and law societies all over the UK,” said Jack Newton, CEO and co-founder of Clio. “We’ve invested considerable time and effort into adapting Clio for the UK market and look forward to further growth in the coming years.”

In the UK this year, the Clio team has added almost 200 new law firms and added three societies to the partnership programme namely, The Law Society of Scotland, Leeds Law Society and the Institute of Legal Finance Management.
