Forty months’ imprisonment and a five-year driving ban for driver in hit and run that left two with serious injuries
A driver who left Shaun Whiter and his friend seriously injured on the side of the road has today been sentenced to 40 months imprisonment and a 5 year driving ban. Jan Adamec will also be required to take an extended driving test after the ban.
Shaun Whiter was helping his friend change a tyre when Mr Adamec struck their vehicle in July 2016. The driver pleaded guilty of serious injury by dangerous driving last month.
Shaun suffered a double amputation as a result of the accident, and was taken to Addenbrookes hospital for treatment.
