  • Baring Private Equity Asia, on the acquisitions of Vistra Group and Orangefield corporate services.
  • Dalian Wanda Groupon the acquisition of Infront Sports & Media AG from Bridgepoint Advisers Limited for a total consideration of approx. EUR1.05bn
  • The acquisition of Air Thermal (Luxembourg) SARL by China-listed Nanjing Aotecar New Energy Technology
  • RRJ Capital on its USD750 million pre-IPO investment in ING’s insurance and investment management group
  • The issuance and listing of dim sum bonds on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange by Cre8tive Group, a Hong Kong-based investment company focusing on technology, media and telecommunications, natural resources, real estate, insurance and financial services Cre8tive Group.
  • The acquisition of the remaining 80 per cent stake in CLSA by CITIC Securities International Company Limited, the Hong Kong-based securities broker.
  • The acquisition by Kering of a majority stake in Qeelin, the Hong Kong-based jewellery business. This acquisition will further strengthen the French multinational’s presence in the retail and luxury goods industry in Asia.

  • The disposal of AVR, a company engaged in waste processing and production, and the supply of renewable energy from the incineration of waste, to a consortium led by Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited, for a consideration of approx. EUR950m (approx. HKD9.5bn).
  • The acquisition of Smithfield Foods, an 87-year-old Virginia-based meat giant with brands like Armour and Farmland, by Shuanghui International Holdings. The largest takeover of an American company by a Chinese buyer to date.
