Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) is set to lose further lawyers to White & Case’s new offices in Australia.

White & Case announced it was launching in Melbourne and Sydney two months ago, hiring a 10-partner project finance team from HSF.

The group included HSF Asia head of finance Brendan Quinn and head of projects Andrew Clark.

The US firm revealed on Wednesday night (2 November) the partners will now be followed by other members of HSF’s project finance team – Melbourne-based HSF senior associates Adeline Pang and Ged Cochrane, as well as special counsel Michelle Keen.

All three will join White & Case as partners.

The openings are aligned with White & Case’s Asia-Pacific strategy to build on and support the growth of its energy, infrastructure and project finance practices.

The firm’s new Melbourne office is set to open in December, while the new Sydney hub will launch at the start of 2017.
