Dechert real estate finance partner Eleni Skordaki has left the firm after two years to launch her own consultancy firm, ES Real Estate Finance.
Skordaki, who appeared in this year’s Hot 100, joined Dechert from Olswang where she was head of real estate finance for nine years.
Her new consultancy will provide legal analysis and advisory services on real estates finance projects.
Skordaki told The Lawyer that her new venture is the main attraction and rationale behind her move.
“The real estate finance sector is affected by economic and political upheavals and, as a major generator of economic activity, it can throw a few of its own uncertainties into the mix,” she said.
“It is not surprising that clients are asking for a bespoke and business oriented solution to the finance challenges they face and the role of the trusted advisor working hand in hand with the principal is making a come back.”
Dechert has been approached for comment.
