DAC Beachcroft has posted revenues up 1.2 per cent to £102m at the half-year mark.
Last year DAC saw its turnover break the £100m barrier for the first time. The firm’s turnover increased by 2 per cent from £98.8m in H1 2014/15 to £100.8m in 2015/16.
DAC’s managing partner David Pollitt said: “I am pleased with this good result at the half-year stage, which bears testament to the continuing hard work of all our people. We have managed to trade through some difficult market conditions in the first six months of this financial year, hitting the tough targets we set ourselves at the beginning of the year.
“While there is much work still to be done, we have delivered an assured and encouraging financial performance against a backdrop of unpredictable political and economic times, which demonstrates DAC Beachcroft’s commitment to delivering outstanding service and managing our business carefully.”
Although the firm did not provide details of its profit and work-in-progress, DAC has claimed that its profit margin has increased and working capital has improved compared to the previous year.
Since being elected as the DAC’s managing partner last year Pollitt has decreased the firm’s work-in-progress in order to increase the amount of available cash in the bank.
DAC reported turnover of £202m for the last full financial year. It also increased its profit before tax by 9 per cent to £35m over 2015/16.
The firm recently picked up a four-partner catastrophic injury team from Clyde & Co’s London office. The team included partners David Knapp, John Goodman, Nigel Adams and Danielle Singer.
