DAC Beachcroft has replaced King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) on the Royal London mutual insurance society panel.

This appointment comes as a result of DAC’s recent hire of former counsel at KWM Helen Murcott, who held the relationship with the company at her old firm.

Murcott, who joined legacy SJ Berwin in 2006 from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer specialises in working with overseas real estate investors and developers.

City firms have been rushing to pick up KWM’s core real estate clients since the firm collapsed in Europe earlier this month.

Crown Estate shifted its £7bn real estate portfolio from KWM to BLP with its head of real estate Chris De Pury managing the relationship.

DAC saw its revenues increase by 1.2 per cent to £102m at the half-year mark having seen its turnover break the £100m barrier for the first time in 2015.
