Winckworth Sherwood has hired RPC real estate disputes head Tim Fogarty in London.

Fogarty joins Winckworth after eight years at RPC. He joined in 2008 from Bevan Brittan. Prior to that he was an associate at Masons (now Pinsent Masons) and Clifford Chance.

He represents UK house builders in development disputes, recently instructed by Bovis Homes, Bellway Homes, Crest Nicholson and Taylor Wimpey.

He will report into Winckworth head of planning and development risk Karen Cooksley at his new firm.

RPC elected a new managing partner this week, naming insurance head James Miller to the top job. The firm’s 2015/16 revenue broke through the £100m barrier over the summer, as it reported a 6 per cent rise to its top line. Net profit grew by 1 per cent.
