Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has hired a bankruptcy team in New York from newly-merged firm Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer.

Three partners are joining the magic circle firm in the US – one of the largest group hires made by Freshfields’ New York office in recent years.
Mark Liscio, Madlyn Primoff and Scott Talmadge are all joining Freshfields’ restructuring team.
Arnold & Porter announced it was merging with Kaye Scholer last year, creating a $1bn firm.
The trio hail from legacy firm Kaye Scholer, with Liscio having co-chaired the merged firm’s bankruptcy and insolvency group.
They were part of a six-partner team who joined Kaye Scholer in 2005 from Clifford Chance’s New York office.
