Latham & Watkins EU competition partner Omar Shah has joined Morgan Lewis as part of the firm’s expansion of its antitrust and competition practice in London.

Shah, who was a partner for eight years at the US firm, focuses on defending clients in complex global cartel and anti-corruption investigations.

This addition is part of Morgan Lewis’ strategy to grow its antitrust capabilities in Europe and to “enhance its handling of cross-border antitrust matters for clients”.

Alongside Shah, Morgan Lewis has added 10 partners to its London office since mid-last year, including Covington & Burling’s Simon Currie in November and K&L Gates trio Matthew Duncan, Julian Goodman, and Paul Matthews in July.

This takes the firm’s team up to nearly 40 partners in all practice areas. According to London managing partner Peter Sharp, further strategic growth is set to continue.
