Germany
Ashurst has announced the appointment of partner Maximilian Uibeleisen, who will be based in the Frankfurt office. Uibeleisen joins the firm from Noerr, where he was an associated partner, and specialises in advising on regulatory and public law issues in energy and healthcare, as well as on environmental risk.
Bryan Cave has expanded in Hamburg with the hire of corporate lawyers Hubertus Schröder and Tonio Sadoni. Schröder joins the firm as a counsel from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher in Munich, while associate Sadoni moves from Latham & Watkins in Hamburg.
Osborne Clarke has promoted eight lawyers to the new position of counsel in Germany. Six of the group are based in Cologne and two in Munich.
Iberia
Portuguese firm PLMJ has recruited counsel Pedro Lomba for its healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceuticals team. Lomba previously worked for the firm as a senior associate and returns to private practice from roles in government and academia.
The Nordics
Nordic firm Roschier has appointed Stockholm-based finance partner and office head Fredrik Rydin as its new managing partner. Rydin will succeed Rainer Hilli, whose five-year term ends on 31 May 2016. Hilli will continue fee-earning as head of the firm’s IP and life sciences practice.
Switzerland
Froriep has appointed Julie Wynne as a partner in its estate management team. Wynne was previously a senior associate at Bonnard Lawson in Lausanne.
