Addleshaw Goddard has made up 15 lawyers to its partnership, including two in its Dubai office.

The promotions mark the first time the firm has made up partners outside of the UK.

The round shows a slight dip on last year’s promotions, when the firm made up 18 partners. In both 2013 and 2014 Addleshaws made up just eight partners.

This year five of the 15 new partners are women, representing 33 per cent of the total promotions.

Corporate saw the largest number of promotions with six lawyers made up. Four were made up in banking; two in commercial; one in employment; one in construction litigation; and one in construction.

Dubai saw one promotion in the corporate practice and one in construction litigation.

Addleshaws launched in Dubai in 2012 as part of an internal push that also saw it open in Singapore, Qatar, Oman and Hong Kong.

Managing partner John Joyce said: “It is always a pleasure to recognise the achievements of individuals operating across the firm and we are thrilled to be able to promote so many talented lawyers to partnership once again this year.”
