Olswang has promoted just two lawyers to its global partnership in London and Singapore.
Intellectual property senior associate Joel Vertes is the only person to have been made up in the City, having trained at the firm in the early 2000s.
He also heads up Olswang’s franchising and licensing group, advising clients on international deals and their IP rights.
The second promotion has been made in Singapore, with associate Matt Pollins made up.
Pollins is a technology, media, telecoms (TMT) and sourcing lawyer and also trained at the firm. He undertook secondments in London at the BBC and YouView between 2009 and 2011.
Olswang promoted five female lawyers to partner in the UK and France last year, with the quintet coming from a number of practice areas such as corporate, real estate and TMT.
However, the firm also promoted just two people in 2014 in London and Berlin.
