Insurance specialist RPC has promoted three lawyers to its partnership in its 2016 promotions round, boosting its corporate, intellectual property (IP) and construction teams.

RPC traditionally promotes low numbers to its partnership. Last year the firm saw four lawyers made up to partner while in 2013 the partnership increased by three.

The three new partners are corporate specialist Nigel Collins, IP and technology lawyer Ciara Cullen, and construction and projects specialist Jonathan Hutt.

Collins is head of RPC’s Japan desk and advises a wide range of Japanese corporates across multiple sectors and geographies. His work involves advising on acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures, restructuring, and general corporate work.

Cullen is an IP and technology lawyer specialising in dispute resolution work. Her expertise is around brand protection, licensing, sponsorship arrangements and commercial contracts. She is qualified in England and Wales as well as the Republic of Ireland and advises international clients on large-scale multi-jurisdictional matters.

Hutt deals with disputes arising from construction, private finance initiatives, energy, and outsourcing deals. His clients include large contractors as well as employers and suppliers. Hutt is the only lawyer to be made up in this year’s round who trained at RPC.

RPC runs an all-equity partnership model, which the new partners will join when the promotions take effect on 1 May.
