Bird & Bird has elected nine to partner including four each in London and continental Europe.
Intellectual property (IP) saw the largest number of promotions, with five new partners focusing on this area. The firm also made up two partners in corporate, and one each in commercial and employment.
Among the four made up in London, only IP lawyer Nick Aries trained at the firm.
Outside of the UK, the firm’s Lyon, Milan, Madrid and Stockholm offices gained one new partner each.
In Asia, the firm only promoted one IP lawyer, David Allison, who splits his time between Hong Kong and Beijing.
There is only one female lawyer among the latest round of promotions, employment practitioner Nathalie Devernay in Lyon.
Prior to the global round, the firm also made up three other lawyers in Europe, based in Brussels, Prague and Warsaw respectively.
