Khaitan & Co advised Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (“Cypress”) on the India leg of its global level purchase of the entire IoT assets of Broadcom Corporation, USA (Broadcom) for $550m. The Indian leg involved the sale of the IoT assets held by Broadcom’s Indian subsidiary to Cypress’ Indian subsidiary. Founded in 1982, Cypress is the leader in advanced embedded system solutions for the world’s most innovative automotive, industrial, home automation and appliances, consumer electronics and medical products. Khaitan & Co acted as the Indian legal advisors to Cypress on the transaction.
