German firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek has reported another year of revenue growth, with turnover rising 8.8 per cent from €121m to €131.6m (£99.7m).
The rise follows continued growth in headcount at Heuking, which has recruited heavily in recent years. Notably the firm recruited an 18-strong team from GSK Stockmann & Kollegen to launch in Stuttgart at the start of 2015.

Managing partner Andreas Urban said that although the growth was in part due to increased partner and lawyer numbers, the rise in revenue had exceeded Heuking’s expectations.
According to German legal magazine JuVe the turnover hikes puts Heuking into the country’s top 10 firms by revenue, displacing Taylor Wessing.
Total lawyer numbers rose to 324 but on a full-time equivalent basis headcount was up by 10.2 per cent to 303.

Equity and salaried partner hires in 2015 included Paul Hastings corporate partner Ali Sahin in Frankfurt and Munich-based tax partner Peter Schäffler from Luther. Deutsche Telekom in-house lawyer Markus Lennartz also joined Heuking as a salaried partner.
Heuking promoted four lawyers to equity partner at the beginning of 2016 as well as making 10 up to salaried partner status.
