Schoenherr advises Lindsay Goldberg fund on Austrian Schur Flexibles acquisition

Schoenherr has advised New York private equity fund Lindsay Goldberg on the acquisition of the Schur Flexibles Group from capiton AG and other sellers.

Schoenherr supported Lindsay Goldberg in Austria, Poland and Slovakia on the legal due diligence and transaction documentation.

The transaction is subject to approval by the competent antitrust authorities.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The Schur Flexibles Group is an Austria-based producer and distributor of flexible packaging solutions with a turnover of €370m in 2015 (£311m) and around 1,100 employees.

Lindsay Goldberg is a US private equity fund (advised by Lindsay Goldberg Vogel in Europe), which manages own funds of around $14bn (£10.6bn).

Capiton AG is a Germany-based private equity firm.

The Schoenherr team advising Lindsay Goldberg was jointly led by Florian Kusznier (partner, Austria, corporate/M&A), Paweł Halwa (partner, Poland, corporate/M&A) and Soňa Hekelová (partner, Slovakia, corporate/M&A). They were supported by Julia Wasserburger (senior associate, Austria, corporate/M&A), Wojciech Czyzewski (attorney at law, Poland, corporate/M&A), Peter Devínsky (attorney at law, Slovakia, corporate/M&A), Tomáš Šilhánek (associate, Slovakia, corporate/M&A) and Michal Lučivjanský (attorney at law, Slovakia, corporate/M&A).
